How to find the IP address in Windows 11
Windows 11 has a centralized location for the majority of its settings. From system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows, all can be done from the System Settings pane. To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + I shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings as shown in the image below: Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and search for Settings. Then select to open it. Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. In Windows Settings, click Network & internet, and select Wi-Fi or Ethernet on the right pane of your screen shown in the image below. There are two ways your computer will connect to the internet or any other network. You can get the IP address of either the Wi-Fi connection or the Ethernet (Wired) connection. If you’re connected via a Wi-Fi connection, simply click Wi-Fi under Network & internet. On the Wi-Fi adapter pane, scroll down and you should view details, including IP address information. Do the same if you’re connected via an Ethernet (wired) connection. You should be able to see your IP addresses for both IPv4 and IPv6. In almost all cases, IPv4 is the address you want. Ignore IPv6 at the moment.

If you need to find a lot more network information including IP addresses, then go to the Advanced network settings pane under Network & internet. Under the Advanced network settings, select Hardware and connection properties. Then select the network adapter to view its connection properties. This will show you a lot more details about the computer connection properties for either the wired or Wi-Fi connection.
How to find an IP address from the command line
Users who are familiar with the command line can run a simple command to view IP address info in Windows 11. Click on Start and search for Command Prompt as shown below. Then select and open the Command Prompt app. When it opens, run the commands below to view your IP address information. That will show your computer IP address.
How to find your public IP address in Windows 11
The IP address information you have discovered above are all private IP addresses that are assigned to your computer. There’s also a public IP address that is assigned to your internet-connected device from your provider. You may need the public IP address in some cases. To find out your public IP address assigned to you by your service provider, go to Google.com.
