As mentioned above, Do not disturb will make it easy to silence notification banners so as not to get distracted. It is easy to start focusing right from Notification Center (click on the time and date in the taskbar):
Open Notification Center. Select the amount of time for your focus session. Press Start Focus.
Alternatively, one can use Windows 11 Settings app to turn on focus or Do not disturb settings. Windows 11 has a centralized location for the majority of its settings. From system configurations to creating new users and updating Windows, all can be done from its Settings app. To get to System Settings, you can use the Windows key + I shortcut or click on Start ==> Settings as shown in the image below: Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and search for Settings. Then select to open it. Windows Settings pane should look similar to the image below. In Windows Settings, click System > Notifications tile to expand it.
